I guess American Idol has swept the world in much greater ways than I could have imagined.  I have only seen the show a handful of times and I have to admit, this guy is not what I picture as the typical weekly addict.  I have had a few opportunities to stay in a hotel room overnight with my co-workers due to severe weather and the company wanting to make sure I get to work on time the following day.  I won't say they are anywhere near as unstable as this fine gentleman, but I certainly don't regret my decision to brave the snowy roads.

We talk alot about gun control on the show as it is near and dear to our hearts. I guess these anger management sections could be used in favor of both. Without a record, this dude could have had a gun - though his coworkers could have as well, but on the other hand, with the absence of a firearm, he decides to grab a giant butcher knife and hold it against someone's throat. "Guns don't kill people, people kill people."  Maybe we need to take a look at what the root of these kinds of issues are and work on that instead of blaming a common self defense tool for people like Barran Prakash going nuts.

I also need to issue a bit of a correction, to be fair to our friends in Florida. On the show it came up that this was from Florida.  While that is true, he was in a hotel room with 2 coworkers on a business trip, so he may or may not be from the sunshine state. See the full story, and source of the image at News4Jax
